Illustrations

A few weeks ago, the illustrator James Steinberg came to speak to the school about his artwork.

http://www.james-steinberg.com/ <== check out his work!

He was a guest in a few of the art classes including my Drawing class.  He talked about conceptualizing words and ideas and translating them in to imagery.  The students were given the following quote and charged with creating an illustration:

"We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now."- Martin Luther King

He talked about how quotes and ideas can be very literal, or metaphorical. Take a look at their final products!
