I recently found these photos on my computer; sorry for not posting them
earlier. A couple of students and I made this painting series for our
dorm lobby. We have blue curtains, a tiled blue table and black
furniture. The photos don't do these paintings justice. Each one is 1ft x 3ft and has
watered down, metallic silver or blue paint. We had fun doing them and
were glad to share them with the girls of the dorm!
Wendy Decker joined the WMA upper-school art department in September of 2010. She is the yearbook advisor for The Hill Yearbook staff. She graduated with a BFA from Alfred University in December of 2009 with a concentration in oil painting and a New York State certification in K-12 Art. In December of 2012, she received her master's in Art Education from Boston University.
"With more free time, I am working to go back to my roots and explore the possibilities of drawing and painting. With my educational goals met, it is now time to focus on my own inspiration in order to keep the atmosphere in my classroom fresh."
