An ancient technique (Used by the Greeks) in which designs are craved out of a layer of underglaze or slip to reveal the clay underneath. For this one, holly added clear glaze on top to add some shine.
Wendy Decker joined the WMA upper-school art department in September of 2010. She is the yearbook advisor for The Hill Yearbook staff. She graduated with a BFA from Alfred University in December of 2009 with a concentration in oil painting and a New York State certification in K-12 Art. In December of 2012, she received her master's in Art Education from Boston University.
